Castle Season 4 Premiere

If you have not seen the new episode, then refrain yourself from reading this post. It is full of spoilers.

At the end of last season Beckett and the team got a shock when they found the third cop involved in her mothers death was their one and only Captain Roy Montgomery. Trying to protect her, Captain Montgomery gave his own life thinking that he would end it all. Unfortunately he gave the people behind the conspiracy to much credit as at the Captains funeral Kate Beckett was shot down by a sniper while giving her respects. Castle tackling her to the ground in a challenge to protect her, realizes he was too late and in a last desperate hope to tell her everything he whispers the four little words every viewer has been waiting for for the last 3 seasons "I love you Kate."

Now the waiting was over for all the fans Monday night as the opening scene shows trolley wheels sliding around on a floor full of blood as they rush Kate into the hospital emergency room with her best friend and medical examiner Lanie on top of here doing CPR, and Castle not far behind. Rushing her into the ER Kate's doctor boyfriend Josh who is on duty at the time recognizes her.
Leaving the ER room an angry Josh walks towards Kate's friends and father yelling about how a cop gets shot at another cops funeral. When Castle tries to step in and let him know he tried to help her Josh shoves Castle into the hospital wall and proceeds to blame him not only for Kate getting shot but also for the Captains death. Now this confrontation has been building up as everyone, including co-workers know that Castle and Beckett have a very strong relationship, so we can assume that Josh has realized this as well and feels threatened. However Castle starts to agree with Josh, if only he never tried to convince Kate to reopen her mothers case everyone would still be alive.
When Castle proceeds to talk to Beckett in the recovery room the next day, he assumes she heard everything he told her, including his confession, but is shocked not only to hear that she "blacked out" but also that she wants her space. Knowing Kate, viewers most likely saw right through this and assumed right off that bat that she was lying from Castle and was trying to run away from her feelings.

Flash forward to a couple months later and Beckett returns to the precinct to a new captain, "Iron" Gates, no Castle and her shooting case being dropped. Determined more than ever she returns to the case that is not permitted by her Captain, and reconciles with Castle, promising him one day, once everything is behind them, they can finally be together. While at the same time Castle gets a call from an old friend of Captain Montgomery's who has all the files from Roy's collection about the case of Kate's mothers murder and convinces Castle to keep Kate away from the investigation in order to keep her safe.

In the end Kate promises to take a step back but at the same time confides in a psychiatrist about hearing Castle's love confession, and who she is without her mothers case.

I doubt anyone who actually reads my blog watches Castle but if you do, please feel free to comment. If not please give me tips on how to write my reviews better.

Reality Bites

Ever have one of those dreams where everything was so perfect you can't ever imagine waking up......but then you open your eyes and realize reality comes around for another slap in the face? Yeah? I've had two days this week of that reality beat down. I think my mind is toying with my hopes and dreams.

As I have mentioned before in one of my post, I love the show Fringe with all the character interactions and Sci Fi dilemmas. Well this dream started off with me going to the Comic Con in New York city and meeting the cast of Fringe. Great dream right? Well it gets better! After meeting the crew and chatting it up with them, they ask me if I would be interested in working along side of the off screen crew to gain hands on experience instead of going to school. Now that means working alongside of my favorite producer/director J.J Abrams. Of course in my dream I jump at the chance.....then I wake up! Bummer right? Now I have to get up and head to my retail job making a little more than minimum wage, YIPPIE!

A couple weeks ago I went to the Toronto Fan Expo, which I guess most of you wouldn't get but its a small wimpy version of Comic Con in San Diego where you get to meet different actors. Well I had the opportunity to meet one of my favourite actresses Eliza Duskhu from shows like Tru Calling and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She was incredibly nice and chatted as much as she could with me about her shows, which was all of a minute. Well last night I had another one of those dreams toying with my mind. Again at the New York Comic Con I had the opportunity to talk to Eliza again, and this time we talked for hours and she was giving me advice for the film business and at the same time we became friends. The side story of my friends ditching me and leaving me to fend for my own ride home in New York city is just an undertone. The dream was amazing! And yet again I wake up this morning with reality pushing my dreams aside.

So lets just say I think my mind is teasing me with my dream job of working in the entertainment business and leading it with people that I enjoy immensely. I was determined that I was going to get accepted in the Film Production Program at Sait Polytechnic College in Calgary Alberta, but then when I heard the news that I wasn't accepted my hopes and dreams for the year were dashed and yet again going into my third year I am working at the retail store. I don't know what to think. I ask God to lead me the way he has planned for me, and even though I have been accepted to Vancouver, New York and Toronto Film School I just don't have the money. Yet I didn't get accepted to Sait and the only University I applied to I was accepted but the English course I needed was already full. Which direction is he pulling me in?

On the bright side I got a raise at work today. I am not a Part Time Cashier!

A Baby is Born!

About a week ago, my third nephew from a different brother was born. Luke Stephen. Is there anything better than the feeling of having a new life in your family? I can't help but feel pride for the 8lb 9oz full head of hair angel that I've not seen enough photos of. This is the first nephew I never got to hold on the day he was born and it was a little unnerving for me. I had a really hard time getting past the fact that his great aunts and uncles had the chance to bond with him in their arms before I got the chance. Although now I am just more anxious to finish work this Thursday and fly out to Newfoundland, Canada to see his perfect face.

This will be the only time I get to see him for about a year. My brother is doing his medical residence in Florida, USA. So the mother and baby with be moving down there as soon as Luke's passport is done. With the possibility of school this September I can't think of any time I could get away for a little R & R with family.

For now I wait until Good Friday in Canada. On a side note my friend just started up a blog, if you get a chance check it out. Today's Cranium Special

Catch Up

Not writing has become a trend on this blog. Its been a long time since I have written anything or checked any blogs so I apologize for not commenting. Truthfully its not because I'm too busy but just because I haven't been into blogging lately.

This past week I started a new position at my job just to cover some extra needed hours. Its
been a morning merchandising position for the warehouse I work at, and I have to tell you as much as I love the job and not having to talk to members I really do hate getting up at 4am, starting tomorrow 3:45. Thats right not 3:30 I am going to get that extra 15minutes sleep. All this time working cash I have always wanted morning merch in order to hang out with friends after. I wouldn't even think about applying for the afternoon merch because then I wouldn't have a life. Believe it or not you don't have a life on morning merch either. I feel like I'm 13 and in elementary school again going to bed at 8, 9 o'clock. However I will never make fun of my Dad again for falling asleep while watching a movie at 11pm.

On a different note I went to Gainesville, FL to visit my brother who is a resident doctor at the hospital there. First time to Florida, loved it! Went to St. Augustine to swim, saw some alligators, ate some alligator. The only thing I didn't like is the American money. It looks all the same!! You have to pay better attention to what you paying everyone. I guess I'm just use to Canadian money. Although everyone makes fun of our money its a lot easier to distinguish. You know your giving someone $10 and not a $20. Here is a pretty cool picture I took down there though

Thanks for reading and I'll try to write more.

One Week

After much hassle and tassel I finally got a week off from work. Mind you it is unpaid but hey it allows me to get my creative juices going. Lately I have had very little time to just sit and either work on Photoshop or edit. This week I'm going to clean the house, spend some much needed time with friends, read, edit, apply to school and work on my new Calendar entrepreneur business.

As I have mentioned before I love Photoshop, and was originally going to school for graphic design, but I didn't agree with the school, so in the end I didn't end up attending. However that doesn't mean I still don't dab in it a bit. In high school I created a 'Chuck' calendar and was astonished at how many people wanted one. The problem is the shows creative department won't attend to the needs and wants of the fans. So as a fan myself I have decided to create calendars, t-shirts and sweater ideas. Of course however apparently I have to get my ideas copyrighted. My only question is the fact that the show is copyrighted, so if I copyright my idea based on the show can I get slammed with a law suit? Either way this week I'm contacting companies such as FOX, NBC and ABC to ask them about legal issues as well as
copyright companies to figure out the cost. Some of the shows are Chuck, Fringe and Castle. So far in my blog I have mentioned both Chuck and Fringe, however just two weeks ago I finally cracked of boredom and decided to check out this show Castle my friends were talking about, and believe it or not its FANTASTIC!

"He’s famous. He’s gorgeous. He’s smart as hell. He is mystery novelist Richard Castle (Nathan Fillion), and he’s hot on the trail of real world criminals. ‘Why,’ you ask? Because he’s got nothing better to do.

Bored with his own success, Castle shadows the every move of NYPD detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic). She’s an aggressive detective who keeps her investigations under tight rein, and her feathers are oh-so-ruffled by Castle’s presence (in spite of the fact that she’s secretly a huge fan.) Amid incessant sexual tension and constant close talking, this flirtatiously-charged duo builds on their mixed-up relationship as they look to solve strange homicides in New York. Kids, this is as much fun as one can possibly have with death and murder!" The show is filled with the right dose of creative humor, sexual tension, and action to keep any crowd happy.

Here is my Castle Calendar so far:

With this week off there are endless possibilities.

Long Time

Its been a LONG time since I have written on here. But I don't want to bore you with unimportant nonsense of my life. So I write when things that are AMAZING and important to me happen.

Today was the People's Choice Awards and after voting for the past couple months I was actually quite happy with the winners this year. From the amazing show Dexter winning favourite TV show obsession which it truly is with Michael C Hall and Julia Styles making this past season the most emotional and suspenseful season so far. Toy Story 3 winning favourite family movie, bringing back all those amazing childhood memories with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen. Also House MD which had a terrific time this year as always winning favourite TV Doctor, TV Drama, TV Drama Actor and TV Drama actress.

Although there was several awards that I did not agree with such as Grown Ups winning over Easy A. Poor choice. I mean who doesn't love watching Emma Stone sing Pocketful of Sunshine all weekend.

Lie to Me winning over Bones. The most astonishing however, although it really shouldn't be is that Twilight Saga: Eclipse won so many awards! Yes it was a good movie, the best out of the three, but Inception was way better with its editing, graphics and actors not to mention the storyline! Although I adore Kristen Stewart for he horror movies and shy personality but she IS awkward. Don't let her speak again on stage it makes ME feel embarrassed for her.

Now saving the best for last. As I wrote in my last blog post Fringe is my new Star Wars, LOST, Chuck, Superman, Mario, all my addictions x10, and if you know me you know this is HUGE. My main purpose for voting was to give Fringe a chance, which I had my doubts would win, but it seems the fans succeeded once again for FRINGE to win the 2011 PEOPLE'S CHOICE AWARDS FAVOURITE SCIFI/FANTASY SHOW! Over everything that has happened in my life these past couple months this is my biggest and most exciting news. Now mind you I didn't see them win the award unfortunately I was pushing carts in -10 degree Celsius weather, but I was sooo stoked to hear about the news, and so extremely proud of the actors who seem so down to earth and caring about the fan base. Not to mention Joshua Jackson is Canadian. Have to support my Canadians, sorry American readers.

On a side note as I normally do I will put a little whisper in your ear about a new show, much like J.J Abrams Alias series, but with more humor I have currently found and watched this past summers new action/comedy series. From the producer of the Bourne Trilogy come Covert Affairs on the USA channel. Its full of comedy, action, romance, and instantly won the hearts of its viewers with great reviews and Golden Globe Nominations. Its the perfect new action series.

Well that's all I have for you. But I promise I'll visit more often to update you on the production of my short film 'My Retributions'
